Privacy Policy · Updated September 22, 2026
This policy explains what information DewinBox processes when providing temporary inboxes and long-term forwarding, why we process it, how long we keep it, and how you can request access or deletion.
Temporary inboxes do not require your name or account details. We process only the data needed to create an address, receive email and maintain its validity.
Time-limited inboxes enter the cleanup process after expiry; long-term forwarding records are retained for up to 30 days to help verify delivery.
We do not sell or rent email addresses, email content or support communications, and we do not build advertising profiles from email bodies.
Requests for access, correction or deletion can be sent to support@dewinbox.com. We will verify the scope before processing them.
Retention periods
Retention depends on the purpose of the feature, system security and legal obligations. The table below shows the usual limits; records may be isolated and kept longer for security investigations, disputes or legal requirements.
| Data category | Primary purpose | Usual period | What happens afterward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temporary addresses and email | Create inboxes, display incoming mail, extend or delete | While the inbox is valid | Cleared from the online system after expiry |
| Long-term forwarding archive | Verify the subject, sender, body and delivery status | Up to 30 days | Deleted on a rolling basis; not a permanent mailbox |
| Login verification code records | Complete passwordless verification and prevent abuse | Short-term security window | Deleted or de-identified after expiry |
| Security and access logs | Prevent automated attacks and troubleshoot issues | Usually no more than 30 days | Aggregated or deleted |
| Support communications | Respond to questions and preserve handling context | As long as needed to resolve the issue | Cleared on request or according to internal schedules |
This policy applies to temporary email, long-term forwarding, alias management and support services on dewinbox.com. When third-party websites send email to a temporary address, their own policies govern how they collect data.
DewinBox processes the data needed to operate the service. We cannot control what senders retain before delivery and do not assume their privacy obligations.
Temporary email can generate addresses, expiry times, email headers, message bodies, attachment metadata and activity events. Long-term forwarding accounts also involve the receiving address, alias status, delivery results and any authenticator settings you choose to enable.
When you visit the site, servers may record a security representation of your IP address, the time, browser type and request result. We use these records only for reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
We process data to create addresses, receive and display email, forward incoming messages, verify delivery, authenticate logins and respond to support requests. These activities are necessary to provide the service, protect system security and operate lawfully.
If an optional feature requires additional consent, we will explain this before it is enabled. Declining optional processing will not affect basic features that do not require it.
Email bodies and attachments may contain information placed there by senders. Do not use a temporary email address to receive medical, financial, government identity or other highly sensitive information. Anyone who knows the current temporary address may send content to it.
The system may check for malicious formats and unusual traffic for security purposes, but this does not mean every email is guaranteed safe. Verify the sender before opening links or downloading attachments.
We provide hosting, network protection and email infrastructure providers only with the minimum data needed to perform their tasks. These providers are bound by contractual and confidentiality obligations and may not use the data for their own advertising.
We may disclose necessary records when legally required or to protect users and systems from fraud, attacks and infringement. Except in emergencies, we review the scope and legality of each request.
Network and email services may transmit data through infrastructure in different regions. We use contractual, security and access-control measures required by applicable law to reduce the risks of international processing.
Data may be located in a region different from where you live. Using the service means email must be transmitted over the internet as necessary, but it does not mean we waive our requirements for providers.
We use encryption in transit, access restrictions, short-lived credentials, rate limits and auditing measures to protect the system. Long-term forwarding accounts can enable a mobile authenticator to add a second confirmation beyond email verification codes.
No internet service can promise absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access, stop using the affected address immediately and contact support.
Temporary inboxes let you directly change the address, delete email and stop receiving messages when they expire. Long-term forwarding users can pause or delete aliases, view archives and disable two-step verification.
Where permitted by applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing. We may ask for proof sufficient to locate the records without exposing someone else’s data.
This service is not specifically intended for children below the local age of digital consent. We do not knowingly ask children for real identity information or build advertising profiles about them.
If a guardian believes a child submitted inappropriate information, they can contact support and provide the relevant address and time. We will investigate and respond without unnecessarily expanding the data exposure.
The site may use local storage to save temporary email credentials, login tokens, language preferences and essential interface state. These items keep current features working and are not used for cross-site advertising tracking.
Clearing browser storage may prevent you from accessing the current temporary address or login session. Confirm that you no longer need the email before doing so.
We may update this policy when our products, laws or infrastructure change. Significant changes will be indicated by the page date and appropriate on-site notices; new major purposes will not be quietly applied to old data.
Continuing to use the service after an update means you acknowledge the revised notice. If you disagree with the changes, stop using the service and clear any addresses or aliases you still control.
For privacy questions, rights requests or security reports, email support@dewinbox.com. Please describe the feature involved, the relevant time period and your preferred resolution. Do not send passwords or complete sensitive files by email.
We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable period. You may also submit a complaint to the data protection authority with jurisdiction in your location.
